What Makes You Think You're Worthy...open question.

RE: What Makes You Think You're Worthy...open question.
I have to agree with several in here and say you could have a gift for the written word, its something you should think about developing more.

I cant imagine wanting to be a vampire, not that I believe in them the way pop culture does. I DEFINATELY would not want to live forever.

Anyone who really does isn't thinking it through IMO.

I am a fan of the dark, monstrous vampire archtype. The personification of the Id, as thats what i believe the Vampire represents an aspect of. Mythologicaly anyway.

I would hate to think I was "worthy" of such a fate.

Beautifully put Lady K... I agree with you 100% me too. I tell my daughter all the time, she says mommy who do you love first? And then she says "oh yea God, Jesus, and me and daddy"... And as you said he loved me first, even when others didn't...
Just beautiful... Lots of love to all Melanie

I've never been into the vampire scene much....except for watching "Forever Knight" alot when i was younger. It was my favorite program....so well done, and very sublime.

I really really did love that show. *sigh*

Hmm, I would think of living forever as a curse really, watching millions or even billions of lifeforms die. Therefore, no one would be "worthy" except the most evil of men and women. Having a craving for blood would make most people hate you, people would seek retribution, and if/when they caught you they would probably experiment on your body to understand what you were. Doesn't that sound appealing? Think about what the monster really is before you decide you want to be one.Blueud

Taking mentally anguishing suffering does NOT equal worthiness. If you take crap every day, like, loads, and you dont give any back, but you retain thoughts of homicide, you're just as bad, because you've fallen into that mindset. What would ever make you think violence can be negated with more violence?

I believe the only person who would be worthy of eternal life was someone truly pure. Not religiously, but in character. Completely unmolested by todays low standards and such. Someone who who gives back endlessly, someone who will never betray or lie unless i was to save an innocent. Someone who wanted peace, someone who was determined to feed the hungry and cure the sick and clothe the naked. Someone like that. Someone like Jesus, but NOT have a bunch of simpletons ruin everything he ever said and turn an idea into a repulsive thing we know as religion.

RE: What Makes You Think You're Worthy...open question.
Jesus said "If you love me, keep my commandments." He only had two laws for us. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and strength. (I'm going from memory, and I'm not sure I am absolutely correct.) Anyway, the second law is to love your neighbor as yourself..., much like "do unto others as you would have others do unto you."

Because I have a problem with self-esteem, I feel unworthy of God's attention and care, and for that matter, the kindness that others sometimes show me prevents me from accepting compliments or praise of any sort. This sort of behavior not only hurts me, it offends others. It could be that others think that when I can't or will not reciprocate, that I am not grateful, for their gifts or their attention. Or maybe I come across as "I'm better than you." Nothing could be further from the truth.

I believe people like myself find it difficult to explain something so personal and sensitive. You just don't spend your life hiding this kind of thing, and then just suddenly open up. Trust isn't earned quickly. It takes time, love and patience.

I understand that Satan, and/or his angels approach victims with the intention to seduce them in one way or another. If they served "evil" straight up, you are more likely to discern the true nature of their actions and words, and run for your life. What I'm saying here is not my opinion. It is from my KJV Bible.

I recognize that young kids feel powerless, and frequently with good reason. Humans have a natural need of being spiritual and a need for power and the need to feel safe and feel loved. In Christianity, one learns that one must "grow, learn, make mistakes and corrections, and be devoted to God and His Word. There is no instant gratification, taking the path Jesus has shown us. However, the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit opens our spiritual eyes and we learn from the Word of God, having the Holy Spirit to guide us and teach us, and the power to witness..., and other spiritual gifts that we may join the body (church) making the body whole, and fulfilling the needs of the body of Christ.

If I'm right with God, I begin to feel some self-worth. Making new friends helps. Trusting God, and trusting one's self also improves one's self-worth. One begins to respect one's self and others around them. I'm really working on it. I wouldn't be here if I didn't care about all the other people here. For a while I may have to limit my visits to just the "Bible" and "Religion" threads.

I think that visiting websites like this one is attracting things I don't want in my house.

I can add to my list of supernatural encounters a visit, two nights in a row where something invisible sat on my bed right beside me, and I could hear and see the impression right next to me. I was not afraid, just a bit annoyed. The following day as I was sitting on my bed and getting undressed, it felt like a large cat or small dog jumped up on my bed. I used Jesus' name to rebuke it, and I haven't had a problem since.

Using unholy practices may initially make one feel powerful, popular, along with a false sense of self-worth, safety and security. At some point, they make a rude discovery, and realize they've brought something evil into their life. It becomes obvious that they need to find help, and many people may try and fail, and sometimes God will send someone to deliver one's self. Don't underestimate the value of having a strong will power..., this one takes persistent and constant use. Don't be a push over for Satan or any of his helpers.

RE: What Makes You Think You're Worthy...open question.
Ive met "vampires". All a bunch of lost souls suffering from Dissassociative Identity Disorder. Who perhaps know a few energy manipulation tricks, and a weird obsession with blood, and having "powers"

There are no real vampires no matter how much you want to believe. Its ludicrous.

Nobody is immortal.

In short.. Id kick a vampires butt. No match for a child of lilith. (I also dispise people who claim vampires are children of lilith)
