Car Damaged By Unseen Force
#11
Hey UglyNRude, want a good laugh? Years ago my daughter was out with a boyfriend just running around and they hit a big COW head on! Big eyes

They were out in the country and the cow had evidently gotten out of a field. Anyway, it pretty much folded the hood like a sheet of paper! She said you couldn't see anything out of the windshield. He had to get out and jump up and down on the hood to flatten it out enough to tie it down so he could see to drive.

Luckily, no one was hurt. We ragged him about it forever though, called him a cow killer etc

That is actually scary.... I was in the country in my 70 camaro when I came over a hill and a herd of black angus were standing there. Luckily I stopped, I went to the nearest town and informed the local police...... they laughed and said it sounds like a good job for county sheriffs
I must apologize for my earlier post. Now that I have looked at a picture of the car .... a deer couldn't have done that. I missed the link with the car picture earlier as I was trying to do to much at once. I think I caught a nasty sinus lung thingy ....
Belief bias occurs when we make illogical conclusions in order to confirm our preexisting beliefs. Belief perseverance refers to our tendency to maintain a belief even after the evidence we used to form the belief is contradicted.

Yeah, it was pretty scary when they came home and told me about it. But, once I was sure no one was hurt, it was funny. We all just imagined him jumping up and down trying to straighten the hood back out! And, you always hear of some one hitting a deer, but a cow! That was even funnier.

I could think of sling shot .... or something similar for the police story. After all we know how some people dislike policemen.

Was there any hair, blood or scratches in the paint when the deer hit you? I know a deer ran out in front of my son and even though it just knocked his headlight loose, there was hair everywhere. It was embedded in the crevices around the light and driver's side corner of his truck, he literally had to pull most of it out.

In the story I posted, there was no hair, no blood and no scratches in the paint at all.

With the side hit there was no blood, hair or scratches..... it was just under 5,000 dollars damage. The deer got up and ran off, i could see it for a good 1/8 mile as it crossed a bean field.

With my head on collision with a deer there was blood, hair, pieces of antler and close to 8,000.00 dollars damage.

All my life I always wanted to be somebody. Now I see that I should have been more specific...

Hubby and I were talking about this., I showed him the pictures and his first thought was a concussion force on ground level could have done that. And depending on what frequency it would not have hurt the glass.

Did she have insurance?...(more importantly did the insurance cover it...?)

If she didn't, god help us all...
This could be an interstellar conspiracy forged by aliens on a reality tv show where they damage people's cars with unseen forces and watch our suffering as we fend our rights with insurance companies.

If this is the case i'd more then happily get alien cable tv.

Hmmm not sure if I'm human or not rob707, are you? And, yes it was really funny, but only after I'd seen everyone and found out that no one was hurt, not even a scratch. Even my daughters boyfriend who was driving the car, joked and laughed about it after it was all over.

did anybody put the cow out of its misery while it was laying in the road suffering, trying to get up but unable due to its broken bones, or was everybody just laughing and jokeing as you say, i know im missing the point here, or maybe i have more compassion for other living things then i should, who knows?
