does your soul weigh 21 grams ?
#31
As noted by others, the soul's weight debacle was perpetrated by a doctor using the worst kind of misapplication of "science", with grossly inaccurate measuring apparatus, and approximations, and estimates, and then recorded as though he had done it with precision instruments - it was meaningless and false. And the weight of 1 UK stone = 14 US lbs.
Ouija Use 1992-1996: 1.5 sess./day @45 min./sess. (1.13h) @83.4 days/yr @4 yrs
Group: 500.6 sess. = 375.4 hrs/4 yrs
Personal Partic.: 67% = 335.4 sess. = 251.5 hrs/4 yrs
Current Conclusion: Ideomotor effect and suggestibility

oh thank you... I was thinking if stones meant lbs then that was a small person lol! Icontexto-emoticons-01-032x032 just kidding... I kind of figured it was another way of saying someone's weight... Just didn't know how to break it down... yeah I know, duh on me... thank you again for the answer! Icontexto-emoticons-06-032x032

As you say, there are so many fluids and gasses, etc in the human body it would be difficult, if not impossible to actually measure the changes and determine where they occurred.

I do not believe that a persons sould ,or spirit, is a physical thing and therefore I would not think that it would have mass that could be measured.

Just my opinions

This might be right, i've seen a short documentarie of this weight loss on german tv, although there is one thing you can't deny:
Let's say what we call "The Soul" is actually the amount of energy that got the body running during life time. this energy might not be those ominous 21 gramm but nevertheless, it leaves the body because it dies and as we all know, energie can't be distroyed, only changed in other form and way. so i'd say with my logic, that this is the stuff ghosts are made of. or this energy goes into another body, and if this happends to be a human, he or she might remember scenes from the body the energy comes from. Is that a good explanation or just my opinion?

I believe it's possible that it was the soul that was measured leaving the body. Now, I'm not sure what all's been said in this thread simply because I don't feel like reading every response when there's already been a discussion on this before, but that experiment has been repeated several times over the decades. Later tests don't actually weigh the body, but the entire molecular mass inside a perfectly sealed and protected tank that doesn't allow for anything coming in or out. Supposedly, when the extremely fine-tuned instrument drops in weight, they theorized that something unrestricted by physics is leaving.

I am of course no scientist, and I can't explain the workings of molecules and matter, but you gotta admit, it's a sexy thought.
Got no kung fu....but Jackie does.
