Will a kids toy be the break through in ghost hunting?
#11
It's been a little while since you posted this. Have you picked one up to try? It looks pretty interesting and I need a new video camera for investigating now that I joined up with a new team. . . my other one was broken on a family vacation, sadly.

No I haven't picked one up yet, been busy getting other equipment.

If your looking for a new camera you may want to consider a modtronic.

I have been looking for one of these - but they are back-ordered at every Toys R' Us ...apparently the company wasn't prepared for it to become a paranormal investigation hit. I expect the 'Generation II' version to come out soon, marked up $30 or so and marketed to paranormal teams.

The thing already looks like paranormal equipment though, doesn't it? As a kid, I can't imagine having something like that.

You will need an external illuminator as the range is only 12 feet as stock version. Now with sony not making the cheaper cameras with night vision cheaper alternatives will be sought after. Lets hope the new model has a longer range, and more storage as the first version only holds a 2 gig card.

With a middle-of-the-road illuminator, what would that boost the range to, if you had to make a guess?

In my last two groups, I was mostly only still photography (as I used to be an amateur photographer pre-investigating) & EVP (because both groups mysteriously said I'm the person a spirit would be most willing to talk to).

This is so cool! Add me to the list of 'kids' wanting one! Thanks, UNR!

In my opinion 20-30 feet with a standard under $30.00 illuminator.

Possibly, but I do recommend that you test the item in a actual haunted location before you can determine if it does improve the field of paranormal investigation.
