How To Get Rid Of Demons!
If I have a demonic infestation how do I get water blessed by god?. @ CelticFlame.
Just veering back on topic, I think the belief in demons needs to be examined in each individual instance by professionals in the Church of the
experiencers belief and by independent non-biased professionals from scientific and psychological backgrounds.
Sending in a group who are biased and who will immediately advocate mumbo jumbo solutions such as burning herbs, spreading Holy Water etc is not doing anyone any favours and
they may as well be reading a 16th century guide to identifying witches. We need science and what we know to solve these cases not superstition, the unknown and howling at the moon.

I'd locate a person that knows what they are doing and has has experienes in the matter.Get info. from him where he has done what, demons dealt with, outcome(s). It takes too long to prepare, physicly and mentally, not to mention having all supplies, plus assist. if they are durning beten say 12:00 midnight to around 3:00A.M.There are things that can be done but how about let a "professional" take care of that end of. Any good book, esp. Catholic on "Rites and Rituals" might not hurt to read. it. Trying it by yourself is simply asking for disaster.

Some what true... The truth of what we think we know is really subjective at best. Even the Holy Church, doesnt really explain why an exorcism works only that is is labor intensive.. other cultures who have successful methods off exorcism (hindu, africian, etc) all agree on the labor intensive part.. It is not easy to deal with something not of this world. Perhaps where that reality resides is in an in-between time away from physical time and space. who knows...

but what I do know.... If you encounter one, life will never, and I mean never be the same... All that you think you know, and believe goes bye bye. Once you see it , it now sees you... They are no exact science on the subject, only interesting parallels from old manuscripts till present day writings. And most of the time no one is going to help you other than take you on a fast trip to a padded room and a shot of Thorazine. Believe me the Holy Church is not so quick throw a hat in your court.

So , before just throwing out all the 'mumbo jumbo' as you call it...One who has a Jinn on his trail may be glad to have someone to offer them a hand in any fashion. At least someone that belives you other than sending you to Shrink-ville. Once you know...not just believe, Once you know, there is no un-knowing... and your choice for assistance is extremely limited...extremely....

Just one mans opinion... TAO

I went back and read the first post here. While the discussions of demons and such are quite interesting, am I the only one who read the description of what happened and thought, "huh?"

Basically, if I'm not mistaken, there was a frightened dog that, instead of going downstairs fast, hesitated. Then, it ran down and didn't go to the window, but sniffed....And we jumped to demon.

Then, by rubbing olive oil all over, the "demon" left without any sound. I hope I'm not being disrespectful to suggest that this was, in all likelihood, not a demon. Dogs get jumpy. People get scared.

I think an encounter with evil or darkness or a jinn or a demon or whatever you want to label it does change you as taozen stated above. For one thing, it changes how you frame future situations that you encounter in your life. I think you lose some of that innocence you may have once had. You realize that there is a force out there that is not understandable or measurable by today's science and while I still believe that good ultimately triumphs, you may never see it in your lifetime or with your situation.

On the other hand, it is not always a bad change. It can make you more resolute and a stronger person. Sometimes evil events actually precipitate or motivate good changes.

It is kind of like going to war. I am sure that soldiers never come back as the same person they were before they left.

I'm not ruling out that sometimes people get tangled up with negative entities. What I guess I'd like to inject to this discussion is the facts reported by the OP didn't really seem like demonic infestation...or even too convincing as a paranormal event.

I do not for one instance mean to imply that she was making it up, or that she and her daughter truly were not convinced it was a demon. I think they were, and that they were frightened.

What I'm wondering is why these particular things, as described by the OP, made her or her daughter feel that this was demonic.

What she described was a spooked dog that made the daughter spooked. That's about it.

I definitely wouldnt want to do that but I am interested in how it could happen. I mean could it be done accidentally?

You do not want a demon to enter your home it is a terrifying and life threatening experience. Trust me I have had low points where I've said "A demon wouldn't be so bad, I don't care if I died! Ha I can't do that!" But you do bit want a demon near anyone there's are truly dangerous. They can posses you and to answer your question, yes, it's very easy to accidentally invite a demon in your home. By trying to contact someone with a ouija board a demon could enter instead of the one your trying to contact. Sometimes they just appear. Make the right choice and do NOT invite anything in your home

I don't mean to step on any toes, but I desperately need assistance and you people seem to be the ones to ask, as it relates to this "demon" topic. I created a post here:

I would appreciate your input, please.

Again, another interesting account of dealing with a "demon" or something of "demonic" origins. At least it made some sense, based on what I have read about what are refered to as "demons" and "demonic behavior". Can't say I have ever summoned one, not that bent on any self destructive behavior that bad or worth going through all that much trouble. Better documentation than what I have waded through at other sites and certainly worth the time.
Look, I can appreciate you saying you have a problem, I have a problem also. I have not had my coffee yet and I am not empathetic, as a psychologist needs to be, so until I have had my coffee, you're going to have to deal with your problem as best you can, and no, holding a gun to your head will not make me change my mind!!Icontexto-emoticons-14-032x032
