Rosary Smelling Like It's On Fire
#1
I feel absolutely crazy trying to seek help with this because so far I haven't found much information of this happening to anyone. Anyways this morning my son came into my room and touched my rosary. I asked him not to touch because it was my dads mothers who passed away. It's rather old and I didn't want it to get lost. Long story short he left the room and all I could smell was something burning. So I yelled for my fiance to come in the room because something smelt like it was on fire. He checked everything and nothing was in fact on fire. When he got close to the rosary that's when we really started to smell it. I grabbed it and smelled it and it literally smelt like it was on fire but it wasn't hot or anything.
So then I just got this feeling that maybe my son should wear it for a little bit because something didn't feel right. Now this may or may not be something that is coincidental but he touched the cross part of my rosary and the link it was attached to snapped perfectly in half.  I don't know what to think. In fact I think I just might be going crazy or something. It is just so weird because I tried to open another link to reattach the cross and it wouldn't budge. Any insight would be great. Thanks for reading....

Did you feel any out of place emotions while the rosary smelled as if it was burning? What sort of burning smell was it? (Chemical, rubber, wood, toast, etc...)

     Hello,
I don't think you have anything to worry about. I believe your Grandmother was saying "Hello,I'm here." How old is your son? Children are able to see, hear, and talk with loved ones who have passed. But as far as him wearing the rosary that should be up to you and him. And being able to smell things like your smell of fire with the rosary is called clairsentience or clear sensing. But has the smell gone away? But whatever the case you are not crazy. I think its possible you thought something didn't feel right because of the smell of fire, the rosary link snapping perfectly in half(ie. which again I believe it was your Grandmother saying Hello) and the inability to move the cross, all of which would be a normal reaction. Can you move the cross now? In any event I believe you have nothing to fear at all. Does your son ever talk about 'Imaginary Friends?" God Bless and I hope to hear from you.
                Sincerely,

It smelt like wood burning.  It kind made me anxious like I said I at first thought the actual house was on fire but wasn't. It was just the rosary.

What type of rosary do you have?

Case in point I just had to deal with something burning in my house a few moments ago. I was smelling this burning odor in my bedroom and after a few days, I found out the smell was originating from the motor of my box fan. I have removed the fan and so far, the smell is going away. Not saying this is happening to you but check all electronic stuff too.
