Haunted Terminology
Hello all,

I am conducting a bit of a word hunt. I make artwork based on ghost stories, and am looking for a good word to use as the title of an upcoming show.

So I am VERY curious to know is if there is any terminology for a person or persons (or dwelling) that is in the act of BEING haunted.

I would just call the show "The Haunted", but that is just too on the nose.

Any thoughts?
Hmmm good question... paranormal phenomenon , possessed, supernatural... :-)

I was always under the impression that the word you're looking for was the noun: haunting. A haunting denotes something that has been on-going, rather than something that happened.
I'm pretty sure there is no other word equivalent to 'Haunt.'

You might have to get creative.  The Ghost in the Room.  Visions of Spirit.  Something like that.  I have some small talent with words, as I'm sure many others here do, so if you tell us more about yr project maybe we can hook you up.  If it's not too late, that is.

There are also a few words that don't quite have the same meaning, but carry something of the same idea. "Manifestation" might be a good one.

Subject: I have a black cat.
Believer: Black cats are bad luck.
Non-believer: It's just a cat.
Crackpot: Black cats are part of the New World Order government conspiracy.
Skeptic: I can test if black cats are more or less lucky than another cat.
Cynic: You only have a black cat to gain power and prestige.
