How can I be and feel safe whilst still being into vampires?

How can I be and feel safe whilst still being into vampires?
Hello
How are you?
I am very, very interested in vampires. They are one of my main passions. I believe in vampires strongly and would like it if you could please respect this belief.
However, I also have been having anxiety about vampires attacking me for over a year now. It has made me very, very upset, anxious and, possibly, afraid. The thing is I still absolutely love vampires and really, really want to be able to watch vampire films, watch vampire programmes, read vampire books, talk about vampires generally and think about them as I used, but I can't because of my anxiety. I am anxious that by being into vampires and doing such things, I would be more at risk.
This anxiety is a huge problem for me. I have had the ideas for various strategies, including a stake (which would be illegal to carry around here in England), Holy water (which I doubt would be effective due to the fact that I am not Christian), garlic (which may not be effective against modern vampires) and mustard seeds (to keep the vampires distracted counting. Would these work against modern vampires?) Do you have any other ideas?
How can I get rid of this anxiety problem permanently?

Well remind yourself that vampires are not real and can not hurt you. But I believe your best course of action is to schedule an appointment with your doctor to discuss your anxiety issues.

Seek help. I've read three posts from you today and you seem to be very delusional and easily led.
There are no vampires. And even if there were I doubt they'd be checking your favourites on Netflix. You've built up a fantasy world that you can't seem to differentiate from reality and it could end up putting you or others in danger. See a doctor, please.

This is the Vampires section of a paranormal forum. Everyone here should be vampire/paranormal believers who are nice to and support each other. I came here because of my experiencing a lot of non-believers on Yahoo! Answers and Quora. Even my mum and dad are non-believers. I am a vampire believer and deserve to be respected as such. I keep putting things like "no "vampires don't exist" comments please" in my posts, yet I still get so many non-believers. I appreciate if you're trying to help me, but if you have to say stuff like that, please don't bother.

I believe in vampires because I want to believe. I have Asperger's Syndrome. Do you understand Asperger's Syndrome. You have not helped in the short run, in fact you have upset me. Did you want to upset me?
P.S I like your username and your pic. I just hope the dog is okay and was not hurt, harmed, killed or distressed in the making.

Reminder! this is a discussion forum and everyone is entitled to take part no matter what their belief.
Now if you let opinions you do not agree with upset you, perhaps the internet isn't a place you should be asking for those opinions.

RE: How can I be and feel safe whilst still being into vampires?
I had no idea you had Asperger's, I couldn't have possibly known that. I had no intention to upset you, but while ghosts, angels and demons have been mentioned in texts from all cultures for millennia, vampires as we know them were invented in the 1800s in stories and superstition. We are all here because we have an interest in the paranormal, not because we believe it all. It's healthy to have a difference of opinion.

And thanks for the comment on my picture. It wasn't harmed in any way, it's just a dog listening to a telephone. It's not even my dog, it's a well known and pretty old internet meme.

And when I asked you to get help it was for your own safety. What if you start carrying weapons and are caught by the police? What if you attack a perceived vampire and it's just an innocent person? What if someone finds out about your interests and takes advantage of you by posing as a vampire? You need to be safe, and reign it in a little. Sorry if that offends you.

Ok, so wear a crucifix and carry holy water. It doesn't matter if you're not Christian. It has nothing to do with your religion only that it works against vampires. And only go out during the day.

RE: How can I be and feel safe whilst still being into vampires?
If vampires are real, I doubt that you thinking about, reading text, and entertaining yourself with vampire themed media will entice one to come after you. I suggest seeking a medical professional about the anxiety, and perhaps, transferring your focus from vampires to something else that would benefit you.

Also, after reading some of your comments (Example: "Everyone here should be vampire/paranormal believers who are nice to and support each other."), it would be wise to remember that just because there is a specific topic in a forum, doesn't mean that everyone who posts within a thread of the forum will have the same beliefs about the topic. One reason to have a forum, is to collect different ideas and thoughts on a subject. Being resolute in ignoring peoples' thoughts that contrast from our own makes it challenging to gain insight on varied subjects. It's imperative to entertain the diversity of peoples' ideas and opinions for this reason.

I would say that you have told someone of your interests in vampires, who is a vampire, i.e., an inhumane person. These people aim to disturb and trouble other people to get a kick out of it. It gives them a sense of power. It is like bullying but in a clandestine way.
I have called this series the Underlying Conditions of Disease because most of the time the problems created are either so-called "mental disorders" or physical disease. However anything and everything from love at first sight to cancer can be manufactured because it is all about selling ideas underhandedly so that the person believes them as their own and thus carrying authority, so that they may react.

In your case they are using the ideas you have of being concerned about your interest in vampires and safety. Thus the anxiety can be created. Anxiety in this case is due to a concealed threat to get you into fear PLUS the ideas of uncertainty that cause worry.

A good strategy is to work out who is the person or persons who are troubling you and sever the relationship or at least don't give them any information. Tell them you have found some incredible strength that demolishes vampires but keep them ignorant. It is best that way.
