I would say Hitler was a perfect example of both a politician & a christian.

An amusing thing is that if someone were to call you an idiot, they would probably be banned.

Good & evil are not even poorly defined, let alone well defined.
Everything has two pole. The magnet has north & south. A sheet of paper two sides. The theological argument of what good & evil are is nothing but an infinite debate which will bring no one closer to anything but the end of a debate about semantics.
The Zohar says that our aim is "To include the left in the right." To return all to it's source.

Correct.

On a graph for good and evil, good is at one pole and evil at the other and there is usually no argument that cannot be solved by us putting our subjective evils and goods on that graph.

If you do not want to accept the terms good and evil, then, because whatever you wish to define your term as will be totally subjective, we can use synonyms that you cannot argue against like the thing you like the most, and at the other pole, the thing you like the least.

Anything else would just be more semantics. Stop corrupting English. It makes for a better dialog.

There are LOTS of arguments about what is & is not good or evil & especially so when you start putting it into context with other things.
Many narrow mined hate filled Christian bigots for example put abortion, even for a young girl who has been raped in the evil section. Other troglodytes put homosexuality in the evil section.
Personally if I had to use the word evil, then I would put people like fundamentalist christians in the very obviously evil section.
Also look at how some people put inanimate objects such as the Tarot in the evil section. Yet like a car they were made in a mass production factory & as much as I like the concept of environmental concern & even the James Brolin film "The Car." I don't think cars can seriously be described theologically as evil. The same with Tarot.
Good & Evil are simply words that allow people to not think about reason & logic behind what they see. Oh he is evil, is a much easier concept, than we as a society failed to provide the mental health care he needed due to government health cuts & thus it was totally avoidable.
As I said above debating what good & evil is. Is just a waste of breath & thought power & will solve nothing. But will run you in circles.
If you want the ultimate in proof that words are illogical when it come to right & wrong. Look at the so called pro-life people. Very often they feel comfortable threatening violence, making death threats & even killing. Very pro-life that.
Or how about the Westboro Bapist group? Where in your scale of good & evil do they come when compared to say members of The Hellfire Club, the Marquis De Sade, Joan of Arcs friend Gilles de Rais or say Alistair Crowley or Matthew Hopkins?

Absolutely, as do most politicians & religious leaders. Religion wise, just look at John Paulk, Mike Warnke,Ted Haggard, Jimmy Swaggart, Coy Privette or Tony Alamo to name just a few good examples. All preached one thing, while having a private life that was far from what they publicly said.

You missed the whole point of what Christianity is!

The most efficient way for God to get to humans is by showing Himself up in front of humans. It's no point for God not showing up until He has a good reason to hide behind. The analogy is, if humans would like to guide the dogs, it's no point for humans to hide behind instead of directly showing up to the dogs to teach them what to do.

So it boils down if God (or the gods) has a good reason to hide behind. The good reason for the Christianity God to hide behind is that by the covenant between God and man signed off, humans will have to rely on faith to be saved. It says that if God shows up in front of humans, then all mankind will have to go hell! God thus leaves no evidence to humans in order to give each and every humans a fair chance to be saved by faith.

The second most efficient way for humans to get to a truth is by putting faith in testimonies from eye-witnesses. That's why among the 100% humans who know for a fact that black holes exist, 99% of them don't have the evidence. Humans in majority rely on putting faith in the small amount of scientists as eye-witnesses to get to the truth of the existence of black holes.

Not only that "putting faith in testimonies" is more efficient in reaching a truth, but also that not all kinds of truth can be evidenced. What you yourself just did yesterday or today but a year ago can hardly be evidenced. We can know what you did yesterday or on a day years ago if and only if a witness (or yourself) wrote about what you did, and for us to believe with faith. There's not another way round!

In a similar fashion, God chose His prophets as His eye-witnesses and for other humans (including today's humans) to believe with faith. God ever called up Israel as a whole to be His witness for the world to get to know who He is and what He demands from humans. That's what Christianity is!

In a nutshell, your intelligence (human IQ) is a piece of sh*t (no offense). Relying on that piece of sh*t will bring you to no where. Gawp The line of reasoning that "because something is not evidenced such that it's imaginary" is a joke!

Both Christianity and Islam have basically developed into intolerant, homophobic and misogynous religions. Both religions have grown themselves by the sword instead of good deeds and continue with their immoral ways in spite of secular law showing them the moral ways.

Jesus said we would know his people by their works and deeds. That means Jesus would not recognize Christians and Muslims as his people, and neither do I. Jesus would call Christianity and Islam abominations.

Gnostic Christians did in the past, and I am proudly continuing that tradition and honest irrefutable evaluation based on morality.

Have I missed the point?

Ya think?

-DFB

Subject: I have a black cat.
Believer: Black cats are bad luck.
Non-believer: It's just a cat.
Crackpot: Black cats are part of the New World Order government conspiracy.
Skeptic: I can test if black cats are more or less lucky than another cat.
Cynic: You only have a black cat to gain power and prestige.

Ya think?

You give Christians a pass do you?

Why, when they are no better than Islam?

I do recognize that left Christianity has been brought to heel but the right wing is still doing a lot of damage to society.
