Premonitions in Dreams?
#1
First off, I know this could be coincidence, and I figure it might be, but I just was talking to an old teacher of mine who mentioned something off-topic to this post and it got me thinking.

I have never had memorable dreams, or any that I could remember except in a choice few occasions. On these occasions, these dreams would have at minimum, aspects that come true. I don't mean that I tripped in both a dream and reality, but as in, unexpectedly getting tickets for something I went to in a dream, and even befriending someone I first saw in a dream.

This dream was the most vivid, and frankly, the most accurate to reality. I can't share much of it, because it is really personal, but it was a very bad nightmare I had the day before something violent and life-changing happened. In the dream, I was with two people. A male friend of mine, and someone I wouldn't recognise until later. Things happened, and the friend sort of became violent and started to look more inhuman as the dream progressed. The other person there seemed to be defensive, as if they wanted to protect me. It seemed real at the time, and I woke up frightened. I got up and pushed the dream out of my mind. I didn't remember it again until I was in an interview room in a police station. Again, I can't tell you much, but the male friend almost killed another friend, and attacked another. The other person in the dream would turn out to be one of my closest friends, who I would not meet until a year or two later.

I haven't told this person, as I feel it would be awkward. We became friends when they came up to me and started talking to me about a tv show they (correctly) thought I watched.

Again, this could be coincidence, but I thought I'd post just in case. This has happened on separate occasions, and most of the time there is nothing that could have outwardly influenced said dreams, such as the above mentioned dream.

I've had at least one dream that I can recall, where I saw someone I never met before, whom I later met in real life. Of course, I was in high school at the time, and it was just a flash of this person's face, almost like a picture was shown to me quickly, then taken away. If you blink, you miss it, that kind of thing. Needless to say, when I met said person, I was surprised.

Hey Hi Alice Reid, How are you doing. Have you confirmed that was it a coincidence or your past is haunting your present. As you have written that you remember your dreams not so often. Why are there such dreams that you remember. Can it be coincidence. If not what it is. For all your answers, you need to talk to Psychics who have knowledge of this and can guide you exactly what it is.

I am skeptical and open to the idea at the same time--I've had dreams that I swear predicted the future, and very very often these predictive dreams bring some sort of element of focus that I for reasons that don't really matter go on to worry about/spend excessive time contemplating in reall life. It's as if residue from my consciousness somehow traveled back to the dream I was having. Of course, there's the possibility that this is all bull pucky. What I think: no need to hone it. If these residues exist, the way to experience more of it is to open up to it spiritually, as in Lence's description of the Tibetan Dream Yoga practice. Chances are you would just become preoccupied with useless symbols. I do think that we can all learn a lot about dreams and reality by considering that the line between them is perhaps even more blurred than it appears.
