I was just wondering what the pagans on this site think of Silver Ravenwolf and her books. Her ultimate Book of shadows was my first real teacher, although many people find her works to controversal

RE: Silver RavenWolf
Besides being way too gimicky there is a lot of misinformation in her books. She states opinions as if they are set in stone facts, she caters to young adults which in most upstanding pagan communities is a huge no-no. For beginners hoping to learn, or even those who are not noobs looking to further their knowledge there are much better sources of information. I no longer practice but that is my opinion.

I see what you are saying, I am rereading the book right now and see those things, none the less the knowledge in the book is fairly comprehensive

RE: Silver RavenWolf
Just because it's an easy read doesn't mean it's a good read-especially when a book is filled with misinformation. I don't know what you've read and what you haven't but I would suggest reading works by Raymond Buckland and Scott Cunningham, when you're done with those go back and re-read her works, it will be a big eye opener.

RE: Silver RavenWolf
I met Silver Ravenwolf once as our acoustic performance was the entertainment at one of the gatherings of a coven that was run by a lawyer in PA that was rather high up in the OTO.

We all met each other at a local metaphysical store.

If it makes sense, it must be the truth?
