I have personally never gone to any haunted places, and have been getting increasingly interested in the paranormal. Living in GA, is there a place in the state i can visit and see an apparition? any suggestions appreciated!

No, but I want to be the first to warn you about using the internet "Haunted Places Index." It is one of my pet peeves. I'm fairly certain most of the places listed were written by school kids repeating campfire rumors and ghost stories. The few that I know about in Texas either don't exist or are hearsay. The site has only corrected entries once that I have seen, years ago, and have never done any corrections since.

Subject: I have a black cat.
Believer: Black cats are bad luck.
Non-believer: It's just a cat.
Crackpot: Black cats are part of the New World Order government conspiracy.
Skeptic: I can test if black cats are more or less lucky than another cat.
Cynic: You only have a black cat to gain power and prestige.

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way- but don't go looking for what you are calling "ghosts".... It is incredibly invasive, taunting, and scary for them. So many are caught between this world and the next, fearful, confused.... they do not need to be harassed by those that are still living here. Asking for a "sign" to show their presence... only to be again left alone when the "ghost seekers" have satisfied their curiosity. If you are brave enough, strong enough, try to guide them. Tell them to find the light, look for the light. Its kind of like what is in the movies, yes... but these souls caught in the middle need some direction. If you encounter a lost soul, stay grounded, feel your strength from the heels of your feet to the top of your head- surround yourself with love and bright light- focus... engage with them- feel the magnetic pull... encourage them to look for the light, tell them you are there to help. Assure them that its okay for them to go there, and not to be afraid. Ghost hunting needs to stop. If you want to have an experience, be a leader not a follower... don't be afraid and guide them to the light...

I have never seen an apparition. I associate those as being a full body ghost that can been seen with the naked eyes usually of the residual type. I think those are rare.
