Memory from childhood
#1
Hi everyone, i'm not sure if this would be the correct place to post this but i have recently remembered something from my childhood that seemed to be repressed for some reason and came back to me after all these years. I was in the first few years of elementary school and I was called to the school library. I was met by an elderly gentleman. (Easily between 60 and 70 years of age) who was well dressed. He claimed to be a relative and was able to recite family members names and personal information about them including my immediate family. I didn't question it at the time as I was around 5 to 7 years of age. After he explained who he was, he pulled out a peice of paper with some text on it and asked me a series of questions pertaining to my views of the world and other odd subjects (can't remember specific questions). After we were done he thanked me and left. I have never seen this individual again after that encounter and turned out to not be a part of my family. I never let my parents know of the encounter because it didn't raise any flags as a kid.

I'm curious if anyone has had a similar encounter and if they know more about what exactly the information was used for.

Thanks,
Insomniac

Growing up there was a huge legal battle between my mom and dad/grandparents, there were a couple times a lawyer or therapist(never identified who they were, but knew family members and stuff) showed up at school to ask questions about this or that, never asking what they wanted to ask directly, but more to get a standing on well being and such. Social workers can do this as well.

Hmm that's interesting and what i thought it may have been but there was nothing legal going on between my parents nor other family members. Also was only a one time occurrence. Still could have been something along those lines, though. Thanks for your input though! Seems the most logical.

Similar encounter was occurred to my friend as from the childhood he has seen his father fighting a legal battle to gain rights to their ancestral property. His parents would be constantly searching on the internet about legal information and lawyers used to visit their home frequently and therefore this also affected his childhood. The tensed environment is never good for a kid to grow.
