This thread will be for any haunted hotels, Inns and Bed and Breakfasts in Canada.

Elm Hurst Inn and Country Spa, Ingersoll, ON

What would you do if you knew nothing about me, yet I said that I'd protect you with my life, then died doing just that and later you discovered I was someone you would've hated had our paths crossed under different circumstances?

It's all just one big *facepalm* around here.

I heart Sandra Bullock.

I get to Canada every few years to see relatives...
I dunno where Ingersoll is though~
that website for that Inn doesn't make it sound like the Inn is haunted at all...& the Inn looks really pretty!
I wanna stay there. lol

Ingersoll is in Ontario Canada. In the County of Oxford, about 2 hr drive from MI.

This place is haunted, they can't seem to keep employees, their always hiring.

If you ask most Ingersollians they will let u know. It is a beautiful place, alot of mature trees, thru out the land. It use to be a farm house but then turned into a inn, the women was murdered in her home. I'm not too familiar with the story, (all the details), but i'm sure i can ask some of my friends.

Some places don't want to advertise that they're haunted. My friend went to Oak Alley plantation and asked about the hauntings which the tour guide denied. But if you look around online, you can find info that it's haunted. *shrugs* I think most people who own establishments which are haunted are still of the mind that claiming to be haunted is a negative stigma.

RE: Canada
That is true, cause i called elm hurst inn and asked them about the ghost named "mary" and they denied it, i then was told by one of the employees that management were advising to keep those stories out of the public. They don't want to loose customers.

I know i'm evil.....

RE: Canada
I was told by a former employee of the Five Fisherman's Restaurant, the last time I spent the summer in traveling about Canada, that it houses a violent, unidentified presence. So the story goes, a female employee was trapped in a corner on the second floor of the restaurant. A male co-worker attempted to help her escape, whatever it was started throwing things at him, seriously injuring him. In the mass confusion, the female employee managed to escape, swearing to nevr return to the second floor, even if it cost her her job.

The notion of picking one time of the year to be decent to other people is obscene because it's actually validating the notion of being miserable wretches the rest of the year.
