What do you think this is?
This is probably nothing but in a couple of photos I have taken at different times there has been this grey misty patch show up. Is it something or is it just some kind of reflection from the flash?

The first pic is of my daughter, with the grey area beside her on the right.

The second pic is of a misty area near my sons bed (my son had had a field day in his bedroom that particular day and completely emptied all of his toys over the floor, so please excuse the mess)

Any feed back would be great x

Poor camera settings, usually a to large of an aperture setting. But seeing you named it ghost I think its obvious what you want us to say.

Belief bias occurs when we make illogical conclusions in order to confirm our preexisting beliefs. Belief perseverance refers to our tendency to maintain a belief even after the evidence we used to form the belief is contradicted.

Well I wouldn't have posted this on this site if I wasn't thinking maybe it could be. Just like everybody else who posts photo's on this site Smile But I also think there could (and more likely is) a more reasonable explanation.

Its hard to say, but look at all those shiny new toys! I know she was a happy, spoiled baby! Those were the happiest times, when mine were small, and they loved hanging out with Mom.

I'd be more likely to believe it was a dirty camera lens. Did you take this with a cell phone?

All of the other photos I took at the same time turned out fine. A couple with some orbs in (yes I know these are more than likely dust Smile ) The two photo's were taken with different digital cameras two years or so apart from each other.

Yes they were way too spoiled (still are). I dare say when they grow up and no longer want to spend time with Mum I will miss it.

Okay, I was obviously wrong by thinking that might have been the cause. Thanks!

RE: What do you think this is?
I've seen this before. This is the reflection glare from a shiny surface. It hits the lens causing a foggy spot. It's a neat effect.
