Potential Orbs?

RE: Potential Orbs?
Come on fld orbs have been explained away over and over, by testing with stereo cameras. The camera manufacturers explain it. Now lets look at these pictures... why not in every picture? maybe because the dog or the person walking is stirring up the dust. We can see lots of dust and foreign debris on the end table and couch. You only capture orbs with a camera with the flash next to the lens. A dslr with a lens cap or moving the flash away from the lens eliminates orbs. Take any of these photos to a professional photographer for an explanation. common sense and critical thinking.

Simple experiment
Set on a couch or bed for 15 minutes take 5 pictures. Now flap the furniture a few times and take 5 more pictures.

Belief bias occurs when we make illogical conclusions in order to confirm our preexisting beliefs. Belief perseverance refers to our tendency to maintain a belief even after the evidence we used to form the belief is contradicted.

Disbelieve if you will. I have nothing to prove to you or anyone else.

No, I agree with fldinosaur. So far as I know he hasn't taken on the task of proving that paranormal exists to anyone. What he chooses to believe is entirely his choice.

Personally I'd think it was great if someone proved something paranormal. I'd be as happy as when they announced that they had found planets outside of our solar system. I'd be really pleased.

But if I was trying to prove to you that I had a car that went 500 mph you probably wouldn't believe it. You'd task me with showing that I had driven the car between two points in a short enough time to show mathematically that it was going 500 mph. Or maybe you might accept a radar speed reading as proof. If I told you that I just felt like I was going 500 mph, or if I showed you a picture that showed a really blurry car you wouldn't be convinced.

So forgive me if I'm not convinced by people getting a feeling or taking a picture that can be explained by something normal.

Subject: I have a black cat.
Believer: Black cats are bad luck.
Non-believer: It's just a cat.
Crackpot: Black cats are part of the New World Order government conspiracy.
Skeptic: I can test if black cats are more or less lucky than another cat.
Cynic: You only have a black cat to gain power and prestige.

Evidence is found and presented all the time but people who refuse to believe find any excuse that will fit their own beliefs/non beliefs. That is on them.
As for your metaphor, unlike some, I don't know all there is to know so if you told me you had a 500 mph car I would take you at your word. My curiosity would make me want to see it but if not it's your word that comes into question, not the car per se'.
And just for GP...no, not everything that's weird or different is paranormal, but not everything is explained by the mundane. best guesses aside, no one knows what an orb is (excluding true dust and bugs and lens flare), what or where EVP's are or come from. They just are.
As far as me presenting proof...I have posted pics and EVP's (or at least their site addresses) as I thought this was a forum to share stories and finds and debate the what if's without ridicule. Ha.
You don't want to believe, that's your right. I will not attack you for it but will at times defend myself when it get's personal. That's why I'm not usually writing on here anymore, only sometimes to support others. Like I said, I don't need to prove anything to anyone. I've seen and heard and I know what I know. Very little compared to others in the field for sure but I've had my experiences.

I have read on other forums how you can tell the difference between orbs is because you learned it by watching ghost adventurers. They pretty much made you look foolish when they asked for you to explain how. So once again instead of making bizarre claims use facts and enlighten us.

You have found me on other forums? Been stalking much? That says all that needs to be said about you doesn't it.
I have always explained what my experiences were so I don't know who you're talking about. I didn't learn from Ghost Adventures but my own experiences.
As for being foolish...hardly. I stand by my experiences and sometimes I grow bored with would be bullies and people who have nothing better to do than to degrade everyone else who doesn't agree with you.

RE: Potential Orbs?
Why not prove the claims? You make statements then run and hide. Explain in detail what you claim. In science, the burden of proof falls upon the claimant; and the more extraordinary a claim, the heavier is the burden of proof demanded.

I did not run and hide. I have offered up my evidence. You can believe or not.

And the burden of proof falls both ways. What you say is just a cop out for those who cannot prove otherwise. Quoting Sagan? Even he back tracked on a lot of what he said.

Just for GP...can you prove to me there are whales? I've never seen one. What would you use...pictures? Videos? Stories? Sound familiar?

Agree to disagree and move on. The more you attack me the more irrelevant you become.
