Do we need God?
Yes I need him every day. And even if I didn't, (knowing what I know of Him now), I definitely wouldn't reject Him if he came knocked on my door.

I realize the more I have of him, the less trouble I'm in.
Didn't they find we are hardwired to believe in god?

Maybe we are, or maybe if we don't believe in something then eventually we will fall for anything...besides, in my experience I have found it would certainly be easier to believe in something else besides God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

We may or may not need God. To each their own. It's about Free Will and it always will be despite the sociology and the political science and what others attempt to foist upon you.
Before you take any decision, consider its effect on the next seven generations.

We're talking about god right?
If there was a reliable statistical data in terms of how many people were saved because of their faith in God against how many of other people died because of their belief, I'd be able to answer[Image: anastasia-miller.png]: this question.

I would answer your question by saying......

Yes. Most peopls DO need to believe in some sort of God.

As an Anthropology and Psychology nerd....currently going to school for my MA in the latter, I can tell you that many...most?..professionals and academics in those disciplines will agree that our homo sapien brains, well, really our minds, are hardwired or genetically pre dispose to obsessively seek patterns.

And causes.

And meaning.

Even when ther is none.

This affliction, if you will, leads to a search for Gods who cause things both good and bad to happen. It also leads to your Conspiracy Theories!

Nobody wants to believe life is random and unfair and bereft of any meaning except to survive. Or as some old biologist...Haldane?...said....."Nasty, brutish, and short"

So we don't want to think an angry lonely deluded little man gunned down a beloved President.

It must been the government and the CIA!

Now then...back on the African Savannah..this pattern seeking served us well.

Hmmm....deer always come here after rains come!

Today...not so much.

Atheist Evolutionary Psychologists have even gone so far as to call religion an undesirable by product of the evolved homo sapien mind.

I personally tend to agree.

I think we definitely do.
