I saw a dragon. im not crazy. has anyone else?
So where to start. I will try and be as detailed as possible. If I miss anything feel free to ask. Ok so I was around 6 years old. This was my first paranormal experience but definitely not the last. This experience has shaped me. I will never forget. It was around 4am..... dawn was approaching. I could see the light threw the curtains. I was a very active curious child and regularly use to sneak out of bed and play games. This one morning I awoke and decided to sneak downstairs. I remember it like yesterday. As I got to the bottom of the stairs I walked towards the livingroom. The door was open around 15 centemetres wide and as I looked threw I saw a dragon. The dragon was facing away from me but it clearly filled the livingroom. It looked as tho it was cleaning itself maybe? Its tailwas wrapped around Iits body behind it and its wing were folded in so not sure how big they were. I sensed it knew I was stood there but it didnt move from that position. It reminds me of the classic st georges day type english dragon. Mainly algae green and various shades of green with flecks of gold and red. It had a presence. I could hear its deep breaths and I could see it moving slightly with each breath. The room smelt of smoke. Like a sulphuric bomfire night type smell. The livingroom had no windows but in all honesty looking back as an adult it couldnt have fit thew any of the windows or door in that house so I assume it was a shape shifter. I stood there for probably 3 minutes kind of awe struck. I cant say I was terrified tho as its almost as tho I knew it ment me no harm. I backed away from the door slowly keeping my eyes on the door and then turned around and quietly sneaked back up stairs where I lay in bed for hours trying to make sense of it all. I know it wasnt a dream and I know it wasnt night terrors or sleep paralysis as iv experienced these aswell and theres a masive difference. I know what I saw sensed heard and smelt....To this day my biggest regret is not aproaching the dragon or trying to communicate with it. Im now 28 and it never came back.... was it my spirit guide? An entity? Im confused as to what actually happened but also feel honoured to have had this experience. Has anyone else had similar or theories as to what it wanted and why it was there? Never told my mum when it happened but years later I did and found out that altho non of my family saw what I did they all had different paranormal experiences aswell. Thanks for reading. Sorry its so long just so much get across

I believe children and pets can see in the spirit realm. This dragon could be assigned to your family, going many generations back. One reason why it meant you no harm. Why would it hurt its charge?

Belief bias occurs when we make illogical conclusions in order to confirm our preexisting beliefs. Belief perseverance refers to our tendency to maintain a belief even after the evidence we used to form the belief is contradicted.

I disagree UnR. Dragons can be found in many zoos around the world. They're part of that less feared, less admired, family of reptiles called lizards. Perhaps the best known example is the Komodo Dragon, direct descendent of Megalania, whose bite transmits deadly bacteria into the bloodstream essentially acting like a venom. It is entirely possible the OP did see one.

Or perhaps it was Chinese new year and they saw the well choreographed serpentine movements and astounding craftsmanship of those "dragons". One thing is certain however: the mythical winged fire-breathing beasts don't exist. Good thing too 'cause dragon poop would take FOREVER to clean off your car...

What's that in the mirror, or the corner of your eye, what's that footstep following, but never passing by

RE: I saw a dragon. im not crazy. has anyone else?
The Komodo dragon or the Chinese new years dragons look nothing like the St George dragon. But if the OP is from the UK region its quite possible she was read stories about such dragons. Its not impossible they dreamed they were awake, usually tales that begin in bed and end there are hard to believe.

I myself have never seen a dragon, though I would love to, I would certainly try speaking with it as well if it seemed amiable.

Dragons by some cultures were seen as protectors. But its strange as a one off.

Bottom line is any dragons the OP has seen in their life are either a) very real reptilians or b) recreations of what the fabled mythical creatures may look like or c) images from dreams/day-dreams or d) hallucinations. There is next to no chance Drogon and his buddies are going to rain fire upon us from the sky.

Thing is and im sorry for the late reply. Been doing alittle candle magik n seen orbs tonight so I started thinking again. My mother was a strict christian. Growing up I wasnt read storys! I was home schooled also and had no knowledge really of dragons apart from when I got older. This premonition or sleep state dream had no outside fuel. No jurassic park no films or books so what do I make of it? A guru told me childrens pineal glands are open from an early age. I know people may be sceptical but Im asking is a dragon an interdimentional being on a different plain? One a child could easily access by accident? And on a deeper level what does it mean? Anything or nothing? Sceptics can dadgum off coz I no what I saw n felt. I want hypothetical theories n ideas not shut down!!! Thanks

I don't have any idea how to answer your questions, however if your mother was a strict Christian I'd bet you had been exposed to the idea of a dragon in the Bible. The best instance I can remember off the top of my head was the passage in Revelation that refers to the dragon that gives power to the anti-Christ. It's possible it was a Bible lesson or sermon and someone explained what a dragon was. Or, I think the book Bel and the Dragon is included in the Catholic canon if you are of the Catholic religion.
