Most Accurate TV Show and Movies about The Paranormal?
#11
No show is legit. This is fact. Read their disclaimers in the credits.

Me. I have an "I want to believe" poster above my desk. One of my favorite shows ever. But I don't know about its accuracy.

Contrary to popular belief, the TV show Supernatural is. It's not that every second, every detail is 100% valid, but a lot of things are. The use of holy water, salt, the anti-possession symbol they use is actually very legit for protection. The existence of angels and demons is legit. I'd have to weed through everything but there is some accuracy to it.

Belief bias occurs when we make illogical conclusions in order to confirm our preexisting beliefs. Belief perseverance refers to our tendency to maintain a belief even after the evidence we used to form the belief is contradicted.

No it's not proven, I never said it was. Not to most people anyway. Has been to me. Try respecting others beliefs.

If it's not proven, how can you sit there and claim it's the truth? Flawed logic. I don't respect inaccurate beliefs.

The Masque of the Red Death, a film based upon the short story by Edgar Allan Poe.
It is a story, but I would suggest that the concept that we build our own gods & beliefs. But that there is ultimately just an unknowing, that we seek to dress in robes & masks to fit our needs & that probably come exceptionally close to reality.

I have yet to see a TV show that I believe is accurate. That said, I liked what they did with the Bell Witch movie.

*****Spoiler Alert*****

The premise was that the girl had been sexually abused by her father, and that a part of herself separated from her during that incredibly traumatic event. (Which seems very accurate as victims of sexual abuse do talk of trying to be outside of themselves during episodes.) That part that separated from the girl was punishing her for what she perceived as something that was her own fault. (Again, something victims of sexual abuse often feel). Eventually, she came to understand that it was not her fault, and then the phantom girl started punishing her father. It didn't stop until his death was accomplished.

An occultist I use to know, always said that her first experiences of astral projections happened whilst sitting terrified during bombing raids.
