Something Evil
#1
I am 38 years old. When I was younger (10-12) I had on several occasions felt an Evil presence holding me down. I could not move or speak, but was cognitive to know that I was awake, I could not move, and could not speak. These "episodes" always happened when I was sleeping. Also, I was going through puberty at these times. I cannot say whatever it was was definitively supernatural. However, it appeared that once I started to pray or ask for help from God, I was released from this sleep paralysis. In my mind, I thought for sure it was something evil holding me against my will. I also felt like it was trying to get inside of me.

Fast forward, as an adult, I don't think much of those days. However, about a year ago, I had the same exact thing happen in my bedroom in a completely different location. My dog was shaking and actually went to the front door in the corner of the living room shaking. I could instantly tell she felt scared of me. I remember that same feeling of helplessness and not able to move. I distinctly remember feeling the presence of a spirit trying to enter inside of me. I was so terrified, I started praying every prayer I knew and demanding whatever it was, if it was something, to leave my home. I went online and looked up prayers for attacks from evil. I prayed those prayers and felt relieved. My dog however, appeared to be traumatized. She did not want to come to me for sometimes afterwards.

I don't know if it was something nonparanormal or if it was something bad. I just don't know. But, to me, it felt like something bad was attacking me and trying to get me when I was vulnerable and in my sleep. Since my prayers, and placement of my crucifix, I never had the issue again.

That is my testimony.

Thanks for sharing your experiences.

What you experienced most people call "sleep paralysis". Except the scientific explanation is basically your mind wakes up before your body and that's that. Well... No. In my opinion that may be one way to experience being paralysed while asleep/waking up to it but not the ONLY way.

I've had similar experiences to yours and know how scary it is and can be.

To me it definitely sounds like something sinister and not friendly (no kidding! : P) but that's great that you say your prayers and have not experienced anything since putting your crucifix in the place you did. So I wouldn't worry. You are protected by Jesus.

One time when I was asleep I was paralysed and my teeth where chattering and I felt like something evil was trying to enter me too. I kept thinking "god please make it stop" and variations thereof like "god please!" It didn't do anything and the teeth chattering uncontrollably was getting worse and I was panicking. "Jesus help me" I thought and bam it stopped straight after I said that.

Just thought I'd share.

Hope you are well and don't have anymore of these types of things happen! : D

I wish you the best.

Yes, this could be one reason for the sleep paralysis.

I suffered SP a couple of years ago, every night for a month at least, I cant remember exactly.

It was horrible, sometimes I had my eyes half-closed and I felt some presence around my, even I saw shadows in front of me, but I know those are some symptoms of the SP. It was a hard period at school and I think this was the reason that it happen to me.

It is making me wonder if what certain prescription drugs do to the brain can be acted on by The Spirits and things that are paranormal? Will be interesting to hear other peoples thoughts on this one.

We know prescription medication can alter brain waves and thoughts. but wouldn't we first have to prove spirits are real? Just because people have beliefs does not make a fact.
Belief bias occurs when we make illogical conclusions in order to confirm our preexisting beliefs. Belief perseverance refers to our tendency to maintain a belief even after the evidence we used to form the belief is contradicted.

This has already been prooved to me.I know what i experience.I know it happens. I know what i hear. I know what i have seen.I am also glad that my living wife has seen the evidence and experienced it too.I am one of the lucky ones. But it must be hard for anyone to believe in spirits who have not experienced them.I know i did not believe until i experienced having conversations with spirits via EVP.

I thought i better add that i have not been on any medication whilst my paranormal journey as been going on.All my experiences have come to me when my head has been clear.I dont take drugs(prescription or illegal,I dont drink alcohol(never have).I am also not a paranormal investigator(well not outside my own home anyway)However this may change in the future who knows.

Sounds along the lines of the incubus and succubus, which goes back to the middle ages.

Eat well, and whatever poison you are putting into your system stop, if that is the case. Change your eating habits to wholesome with traditional herbs and spices. They say enough visits from those, means you are near death.

Poor health. Maybe it is only poor health, maybe the supernatural assists with poor health.

Yes, near death is probably a way to describe it, although I felt rather uppity, however fritzed.

There are differing opinions on whether this is just a sleep mechanism gone awry, or whether it actually does involve entities.

David J. Hufford has pretty much made this subject his life study. I'd recommend his documentary.

I've heard it said that if you find yourself paralyzed, trying to wiggle your toes will help to snap you out of it. The best thing is to not be afraid, even if you see what's holding you down. If you can avoid fearing it, you won't find yourself paralyzed, and touching it in some manner will make it dissipate. Others have found that laughing works as a banishment. If you really have a repeating problem, you can do a formal banishment like the Star Ruby or the LBRP (Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram). Some people claim that sea salt, sage, bark dust, holy water, religious paraphernalia, etc., will help rid your house of entities, but I haven't found that to be the case.

There are differing opinions, even among people who believe them to be "real." Some believe they are just thoughtforms created by our own fears. Thoughts or aspects of the psyche that somehow materialize and have a bit of substance to them.
