My Grandma Told Me Goodbye In A Dream The Night She Died
#1
I was young when my Grandmother died. She was a great lady and I loved her very much. She was always there for me. She taught me so much. We were very close.
When she was alive, I couldn't imagine life without her.

I hadn't prepared myself for her death. Even though she was sick and in the hospital before she died,
I thought she would pull through. But she didn't and it breaks my heart to this day.

On the night she died I was in my bed asleep. Before I went to sleep I knew she was still alive. I was in complete denial that she would ever die and leave me. My mom went to the hospital to see her that night right before I went to bed.

When I fell asleep I had this dream. I had a dream that there was this gazebo by a small lake. In the gazebo was my whole family. They were talking and laughing and having a good time. Then I looked over by the lake and saw my Grandma. She looked so sad.

I asked her: "What's wrong?" Then she said to me: "I'm going home now."
After she said that she lifted up the grass as if the grass were a cover. Then she laid down in the dirt and pulled the grass back over her. Confused, I asked everyone at the gazebo
"Where did Grandmama go?"

Then my Mother, who had just gotten back from the hospital, woke me up. It was then my Mother told me that my Grandma had passed away. I couldn't believe it. I was devastated. It felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest.

The next day I started thinking about the dream I had the night before. It made me wonder if my Grandmother visited me in my dreams when she passed. She wanted to say goodbye to me. That thought kind of comforted me but at the same time I felt upset. Not just upset because she died. But upset because she looked so sad in my dream. I don't think that she was ready to leave us behind.

I honestly think that she was telling me goodbye in my dreams.
I often think about that dream, but I also often think of all the good times we had when she was alive. I would give anything to see her again.

She was an amazing, kind, strong, beautiful, and loving woman.

RIP Grandmama. I Love you. <3

Seeing a grand parent sad in dream was a sign that she protected you from an upcoming danger or some misfortune. She took that misfortune with her and passed away.

The noble thing to do would be, to remember her on every now and then. Lit candles/plant trees or do some charitable work on her name on special occasions like marriage, baby shower etc.

The actual cause for all this incident as per my knowledge and philosophy is that every living species on earth do their best to protect their off-springs from dangers, and we are always connected to our makers, be it mother, grandmother. And this linkage is continual and does not end with death or birth.

It is possible that she might take rebirth in your family and who knows you get to meet her again in different way.

Thank You for your reply. I appreciate it and it interesting what you said. I still think about her often.. My Mom and I still share memories of her and cry together about how much we miss her and remembering the good times when she was around.

My life actually took a turn for the worse after she died.. I do not - and have never blamed her for what I am about to say or anything - but when she died - I kind of lost it.. I could not handle her death.. When she died I felt as if my world crumbled and crashed down on me..

I know it was not her fault. My life just got really negative for years after she died.. I really struggled..

I eventually got through all of the negativity, though, and at this point in my life - things are much, much, better.. I still miss her so much, and for years, especially the negative years, I feared that she would have been disappointed in me..

But, the way I am now days - I feel that she would be proud of me.. I feel that she would be proud that I survived everything and reached this point in my life. Smile

I wouldn't doubt it if she came back into the family in some way.. She had so much love for her family and did her best to take care of everyone.. I can see her coming back into my life, my family's life, somehow...

I can still feel her love to this day.. She was an amazing person.. She was and still is such a huge part of my life and I am thankful for the time I did get to spend with her before she passed. Smile <3

I don't think death ever becomes a easy thing to take. But do not fear crying, it shows the strength of the love that was and still remains.

I agree she was saying goodbye to your, the dream was the only way she had left to do it. It might sound weird but that makes you lucky. This world is full of people who never really understand love.

Dreams of dead loved ones are thought to be a common way they contact us. I can understand you not expecting her to die especially if she was the first loved one you lost. I was same when my grandad was in hospital before he died. Even seeing him the day he died when he was barely even conscious I didn't expect him to die which now I realise it was obvious to anyone he didn't have long left. After he died my nan his wife found all her tablets lined up in order ready for her to take and a pen in bathroom. Other weird things happened up to his funeral. I struggled to cope and thought about him all the time. He died on my 16th birthday which made it harder for me. I had 2 dreams about him both felt real. In the first one he was back alive tempory not sure how long but it was to help us come to terms with losing him. Everything was back to how it was when he was alive. My nan and me knew he was only back tempory but didn't know if he knew that he'd died so we just acted normal. In the second one I bumped into him in swimming baths and tried to hug him and tell him I loved him and missed him. Something I never said when he was alive because we would always wind each other up and be joking about. He kept pushing me away and telling me not to go on. This hurt me as I was desperate for him to take notice. After waking up after both dreams I felt like I had been with my grandad and did find myself moving on though I didn't think they would of helped as the last dream was a bit sad as he pushed me away.

Que interesante tema, a mi me encanta porque podemos hablar sin pelos en la lengua como dicen por ahí. Además todo lo que tenga que ver con las niña es de suma importancia.

What an interesting topic, I love it because we can talk without mincing words as they say. Besides, everything that has to do with girls is of the utmost importance.
