Hidden Underwater Wonders
#21
It sounds like this mound is on private property since it's been sealed since your last visit. I would strongly recommend not revisiting the site lest you get into serious trouble for trespassing.
'A phantom,' said my Uncle Mycroft, who had just materialised, 'is essentially a heteromorphic wave pattern that gains solidity when the apparition converts thermal energy from the surroundings to visible light. It's a fascinating process and I'm amazed no one has thought of harnessing it - a holographic TV that could operate from the heat given off by an average-size guinea pig.' ~ First Among Sequels, Jasper Fforde

No, it's on town land and it has been sealed for decades if not a century or so.
I talked to the town and also to a State geologist. They have no interest in it, and told me to just not leave a mess.

Found another list of drowned cities while surfing the interwebs, and thought I'd list it in this thread.

* Potosi, Venezuela
* Curon Venosta Italy (Steeple Tombstone)
* Vilarinho de Furna, Portugal
* Jal Mahal, Jaipur, India
* Villa Epecuen, Buenos Aires, Argentina
* Quabbin Reservoir, Massachusetts (Dana, Enfield, Greenwich, Prescott)
* Ontario, Canada- Lost Villages (Aultsville, Maple Grove, Farran's Point, Mille Roches)
* St. Thomas, Lake Mead, Arizona
* Petrolandia, Brazil
* Lion City, China, Qiandao Lake (I realize this is the one we started with-- thought I'd list it anyway)
