Hidden Underwater Wonders
#11
If you need more underwater things to look up, here are a few:

Pavlopetri, Greece
Cleopatra, Egypt
Port Royal, Jamacia
Dwarka, Gulf of Cambay, India
Yonaguni-Jima, Japan

There's one other place mentioned on an episode of mysteries at the museum... I may have written the name down somewhere...

Really fascinating to see stuff like this. Makes you kinda wonder whether there are any more and how long it will be to unviel other hidden sunken wonders.

What do you think?

Very cool pictures and the carvings are in pristine condition.

I have some underwater pix which I took last week. But the odd thing is the pix are from some kind of well or mound in the woods.
The mound is man-made and far off any trail. I discovered it last year, and last week a friend and I pried open the top of the mound and lowered a camera on a rope.

Check out the Piri Reis map, compiled in 1531 it shows a totally different geographical world!! i.e land under the ice around the north and south pole for one plus others. Some which are only just now starting to be confirmed using the technology of today....makes you wonder!!
You walk in the long grass and wonder why you can not see!!

Who is in the picture? It looks like a face illuminated by a strong light, and a camera behind the light taking pictures? Was the hole in the mound like a well or something? I don't get it what the second picture is of.

I found the video online, posted on November 14, 9 days ago. So, there's question number one. How was it taken last week?

Second question I had was that there seemed to be an blob-like roundish thing in exactly the same place as the eventual location of the "face." It doesn't look convincing as a face, but could be thought so if people wanted to stretch the point. I would call it pareidolia.

But the second time we see something in that location, it looks exactly like a person's face. There is even occasional light hitting the nose, and the face seems to slightly move - glance down? It looks like a layered, superimposed face put on top of the blob.

I did some screen snaps and compared them. I'd have to say that either this is the most amazing pareidolia, or this has been manipulated. It looks like the latter to me.

If you found that photo online, it was me who posted it. I guess it was 2 weeks ago, not 1 that I took the underwater pic.
I've been posting pictures of this mound since I found it last year, but only was able to open it and lower a camera 2 weeks ago.

No manipulation, though I respect your doubt and skepticism.
I will post more stills this morning from the raw video.

First picture is the outside of the mound which is in the woods, far from any trail.

The thing is filled with water, and the second pic was from a GoPro camera lowered on a rope.

This place is out in the woods - half hour hike - and it has been sealed since I broke the seal on the lid.
I cannot move the lid by myself and my buddy (who is a diver and had the camera and lights) is willing to go.
Trying to arrange the next trip out there.
