1.) The Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, LA is just one hour North of Baton Rouge.

It wasn't very well up-to-date last time I stayed in '07 but the spirits and paranormal evidence more than made up for the lack in bathroom upkeep.

I've visited there a total of 4 times and stayed overnight twice.
While there we've had a unique paranormal experience each time.

2.) Oak Alley Plantation and Inn-
Stayed overnight here in '07. It was the BEST sleep I'd had all trip. The ghost of a young girl attacked by her boyfriend has been reported to have been seen over the years here. She did not manifest while I was there and the place had a nice relaxed atmosphere though so I don't know if she is still haunting the place or not but it is beautiful to see in the day tours.

3.) Lloyd Hall-
Is an overnight guest Mansion with the ghost of a civil war soldier. I have not stayed here yet but look to some time in the future. Its just a bit out of the town that TAPS was called in to investigate - Alexandria, LA. pretty much in the middle of the state.

I will be visiting the Myrtles Plantation sometime within the next week and a half. I have a friend coming to visit and we haven't yet made final arrangements. I will share photos after our visit.
'A phantom,' said my Uncle Mycroft, who had just materialised, 'is essentially a heteromorphic wave pattern that gains solidity when the apparition converts thermal energy from the surroundings to visible light. It's a fascinating process and I'm amazed no one has thought of harnessing it - a holographic TV that could operate from the heat given off by an average-size guinea pig.' ~ First Among Sequels, Jasper Fforde

Totally wish we'd taken the time to go into Rosedown when it was my turn to visit you... but wasn't it near closing time? Ah, well... gives me a reason to annoy you on another visit! =P

Had a blast, but didn't think Myrtles was haunted at all. Was really disappointed when they shared historically inaccurate information pertaining to where that one gentleman was shot and died. But... they have to get people there somehow.

... still don't think that mirror is haunted either. Looked like tarnish to me...

No I don't think it's haunted either. But I enjoy taking people there. Last time this friend was here, she had to bail early and while she was here, she was more interested in celebrating her 40th.
