RE: Paranoid Vampires
Anne Rice would be a bloodline descended from Osiris, mot Aset Tongue

Actually, vampire houses often tweak their mythology specifically so it doesn't coincide with Anee Rice novels or White Wolf games.

Do it. Manipulate the whole subculture, boy.

Lol. That would be funny. Apparently, they really hate Michelle for some reason. Maybe she's not buying their whole ancient order and bloodline tale.

RE: Paranoid Vampires
I believe Michelle is on the same page as Father Sebastiaan: Psychic Vampirism is immoral/unhealthy. They get a lot of flack in the vampire community for opposing blood drinking and energy leeching. They are even called frauds, even though they never claimed to be psi vamps. They just like fangs and occultism.

She never claimed that? That's funny. I saw her on TV trying to convince everyone of her psi vamp ability. She even writes about how to do it. She has worked up some sort of moral code that apparently some people follow. Far as I knew, House Kheperu is specifically for psi vamps.

Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong person.

She wrote The Vampire Codex, which later became the Red and Black Veils when other authors started using it. Most vampire codes of ethics are connected to it in some way.

By the way, is the group in question Aset Ka?

EDIT: Yes, Belanger is with House Kheperu, which is a group of psi vamps. However, they still operage far differently from other psi vamp houses out there, hence the distaste I suppose.

No, you're correct that she wrote the Codex. And yes, it's a forum dominated by people who claim to be a part of the Aset Ka.

They do make a lot out of the fact that she makes money off of books and workshops. That said, the Asetian Bible is certainly for sale.

Aset Ka is a joke. It claims to be Kemetic, then doesn't say anything about Ma'at, or heka, or the Egyptian myth cycles. Just say you're a descendent of Lilith like a normal vampire lol

A lot of vampire hpuses are a joke, actually. Only a few are really respectable establishments.

RE: Paranoid Vampires
For all that seems to be said about her, I do relate to a lot of the stuff she has written. I've always been a sickly person, and docs don't seem to be able to help with that. I guess I do think that there could be some sort of energy deficiency that no one really is aware of. I think that seeing vampirism in this manner, as sort of a medical issue and not something great to have, it doesn't fare well with people who want to see themselves as supernatural higher beings with some magical bloodline, who are superior to mere mortals.

Yeah, it seems that way. I've read bits here and there and I was immediately turned off.

It's really funny to me that these supposed Aset Ka members give lip service to being about dissolving ego...and then they're really all about egotism. I mean, I'm surprised the worldwide web can handle that much ego. The whole thing should have crashed.

CR, do you still feel sickly now that you got rid of everything through those Goetic Seals?

I did start feeling a little bit better after the shadow beings were gone. I think they were making things worse. But I've always been a very sensitive and sickly person, and it has just gotten worse over the years. I have weird iron fluctuations and had some bouts of anemia. Otherwise, I'm just extremely sensitive to...well...pretty much everything. It has gotten to the point where I try not to go out much. People's perfumes, colognes, after-shave, shampoos, smoke, deodorants, body odor...it can just about knock me over.

If there are air fresheners or cleaning stuff, even natural cleaners, it can just make me so sick for days. I have to water down natural cleaning products so that I can stand them, and I can't have anything with perfumes or dyes. I can't spend any time in the sun. I get migraines, my eyes are sensitive to it, and I get these itchy red dots even from short-time exposure. I've had sun stroke and sun poisoning, the blistering burns, etc. The dermatologist told me the red dots were from sun allergy, which I didn't realize existed.

I can't eat certain foods. I have to be careful with herbs and spices. I can't stand sage and garlic. The odors from them can drive me literally from a house. Even ginger, which is supposed to help people with finicky stomachs...I will vomit from it. Even from a rather small amount of it.
