I agree some people don't have a clue. They buy stuff from where ever and go out "hunting". Those are the kind of people I saw on the Bio channel show...mostly, not all.

I have a K2, probably the cheapest of them all. That said, I went around the house, finding "hot spots" so there was some kind of baseline. Now this guy inferred that EVERY hit is from something else. Well....my K2 would only go off in front of my TV turned on, my computer, my cell phone...only inside of a foot...two the very most. Even another room which had the electrical box/meter outside of one wall...it only went off 2 ft. or less away.

And again, if your skin shot off enough electrical pulses to always set meters off....maybe you're not from here?

So why do you use a k2 what are you using it for? To detect emf? to detect RF?

Now you do not have a meter that reads elf off skin, but if the dead exist, and if they retain their energy from being alive wouldn't this be the meter you should use to find readings in the same the Body Voltage Meter? Oh but wait it also records low-level electric fields emitted from power lines, wiring, appliances, lights, computers and other common sources. So do you use an emf to find areas high on emf? Or spikes you want to call a spirit?
Now wouldn't this also show us what items put out voltage that .... if a spirit existed would benefit from to pick up energy?

I didn't realize so many "ghost hunting tools" existed. You'd think if a ghost wanted to communicate with a person bad enough there wouldn't be tools necessary.
Have you all seen the Ghost Box videos?

people see and hear things without "tools" as you put it all the time, just not every time. No one knows, believers and nonbelievers alike, how
or what the phenomenon is or works. Both sides of the discussion have theories, that's it.

And anyway, if the other side spoke to us and visualized themselves ALL the time, we'd know what it is, since the phenomenon has been reported since the Bible.

Ah yes, the Bible..there's certainly no room for interpretation there.

First I must say that guy is paranoid as all heck. He is right though obviously. That doesn't explain however why a meter will go off, as in my case, less than 2 feet from any electrical device that's ON. Move it away and it's back to normal.

And to answer the first...emf.

Any meter would work, but when investigating you have to first find the baseline. Sure there might be , in general, stuff in a house or power lines nearby, but you still will a have baseline with which to work.

I will admit also that the K2 is fully vetted with me. Once I bought it I've set it up in view of the camera and it does go off without any orb or evp. As I told someone else, false positives. There are other times however, just before an orb, the meter blinks off the charts.

And just for kicks...when I first bought it, and I found the "hot spots" A.K.A. baseline, I sat down and "talked" with my wife. First obviously asking if she was around, then some other yes or no questions for about 5 minutes. The K2 would respond each time...and correctly.

I'm not here to change anyone's minds. If you believe and/or know, nothing will change your mind. If you don't, well the definition of that is just someone who hasn't experienced yet.

Let's not forget the inward natural device in the human body. The hair standing up on the back of the neck and arms. The sudden appearance of goose-bumps on the flesh, and shivers up the spine.

What about stray spikes? they do happen, what about flucuation?
EMF meters cannot show frequency data so that different readings cannot be compared the lack of frequency data also makes it difficult to guess the likely source of any reading. There are many natural sources of variability and spikes in low field areas (including non electrical sources) which cannot be easily distinguished with EMF meters.
EMF meters cannot identify 3 phase interference
EMF meters cannot identify fields capable of causing hallucinations (EIFs) What about ground fault spikes? You can have emf from a neighbor. The fact you cannot say these are not happening. You ignored my question as to what you are looking for with your meter.

Good point about the Bible fldinosaur. The oldest text of the Hebrew Bible comes from the eleventh or tenth centuries BC with much recorded history and facts still present today.
