Honestly, I'm really confused about religion recently and am not sure whether Satanism or Christianity is right.

I personaly don't think that either are right. The fact you are looking into things deeply and not blindly following something is commendable. However, things aren't black and white and just because Christianity isn't for you dosn't mean Satanism is. Satanism of any form is not the answer in my opinion.

I had a hard journey looking for religion myself. I was brought up with Christianity forced down my throat. I started looking into eastern religion and found my ideas are deeply rooted in Thervaden Buddhism. I would suggest looking outside of the Jeudo-Christian arena if you are unhappy with the religion.

I agree with you Chris. It's best to keep an open mind when you're on a religion finding journey. Great advice.

Thank you. Its actually quite re-assuring to know someone is going through the same turmoil I was when I was younger, as selfish as that sounds. In the west not nearly enough is done to encourage the wisdom of the east, and there is so much to learn.

Good for you, however I'm only advising from my own auto biography and I may be way off the mark. I hope you find what your looking for.

I gave up on religion long ago. I just don't see the point in it. I think people should be allowed to establish their own connection with whatever god is out there. All religion does is ruin things for me. I'm an agnostic personally. You do what you think is best but im sure you can find something less "satany" than satanism.

"Satany"? Are you making up words again, dyingenglish?

I am a Christian by faith, but I am also a human being that tried many different things to get a better understanding of the big picture. It sounds like that is what you are trying to do AvengingAngel. It's not for me to tell you what your path is. But you seem like basically a nice person, and LOVE the avatar! Sometimes Marilyn makes me cringe, but that's okay. He meant to do that.

Satan is someone I don't want to play with. I've seen his work, and I just don't trust him. I think you are looking for answers. Sometimes in looking for those answers the only thing we come up with is more questions. Keep us posted on your quest, AA.

I'm giving Christianity a chance. I just moved yesterday and met some new people today. They're really religous and are having me go to church tomorrow morning. There are alot of people my age that go there so it should be cool even though I haven'tbeen to church since I was like 2 months old.

AA...I hope this works for you. Christianity is wonderful if you can get past the fact that many people in the church are hypocrites...just don't Jesus for that. I admit I was worried when I started reading this. Levey (sp?), the author of the satanic bible practiced doing anything and everything you desire in life. But do you know that on his death bed...just before he died...he looked up into the air and was quoted as saying "oh no....what have I done". Satan is the father of all lies....please keep that in mind. Best of luck to you.

Good luck with that. Like CT says, try to keep an open mind.

If you ask me (and if you have seen any of my posts) there is more "evil" in the world associated with the Christian religion than has ever been attributed to Satanism. I know a little about Satanism, and for some people it is entirely suitable, while for some others it can have dangers. Christianity is the same.

It certainly seems that you have a desire to express belief in something spiritual which is great. Me, I don't believe in religion and I don't need one to express spirituality.

My advice ... read alot, listen alot, ask alot. Oh, and never, ever, ever take yourself or life too seriously. It is the root of all problems.

I agree with you "there is more "evil" in the world associated with the Christian religion than has ever been attributed to Satanism" but I would like to add that while that "evil" is associated with the Christians it was not done by them. Just because evil acts and wars are waged under the banner of "christianity" does not make it so.

My firm belief is that not everyone who calls themself Christian is anything of the sort. Sorry if this offends anyone but in my opinion that extends to all organized religion/so-called Christianity.

Here is the equation:

Christian = Christ Like

Therefore if it is not Christ like it is not Christian no matter how many signs you put up and no matter how many members you have.
