Only Known Spirit Portal in a Painting
#11
Theresa,
Im not saying I agree with the OPs finding.
But I am guessing it comes from a belief tied to the action of flicking the water. That somehow she/he infused the water with energy{?} Which transformed the painting.

This is pretty old, not sure is op is around to give a better answer. Also toilet portal makes me think of the toilet monster of "Look Whos Talking".

Well in revision, it only took 8 months for a reply the first time, but I will not let that dissuade you. You are far more patient then I.

So...water has spirit in it, and thus, if flicked on an object, can turn that object into a portal but ONLY if one believes it will. Okay. So let's play devil's advocate here. The OP obviously believes this to be true. Does that mean the OP's toilet is a portal? It contains plenty of water and even has a built in 'vortex.'

Whenever you shower or get caught in the rain, do you become a portal?

Is every lake, pond, river or puddle of water on the ground a portal?

I boiled my spaghetti noodles last night in water...did I EAT a portal?

If not, why not based on this logic? What was so different about flicking water on a canvas that turned that particular piece into a portal and aside from a photo showing...nothing...and a dubious validation by an alleged psychic medium, why is it believed to be so?

A dubious validation? Are you an authority on spirit portals? Or psychic mediums? Please back up your assessment with the facts. I'd love to read them.

The problem with having a discussion with you people is it's impossible. You want to play judge, jury, and executioner, but you don't have any credentials.

The truth of the matter is I created a spirit portal in a painting. Accept it. It happened.

Straight to the point person, are you? Icontexto-emoticons-01-032x032

Nice paintings, and I'm not saying this as a mock either Smile I do believe that every painting will have the energy of the artist attached to it, and I think I can sense something in your paintings (when other people call it 'pareidolia' I'd call them The Nebula and The Forest, if you don't mind, of course). But whether or not it's a portal, I can't really tell. Anyway, I like The Forest Smile

What did the medium say when you had him read your paintings?

Have you seen anything coming out of the painting or going into it?

Luckily for me, the burden of proof lies with YOU. You've stated that a psychic medium told you it was a portal. Okay...based on what? Can you prove its a portal with any sort of concrete justification other than a statement that it is? Just saying it is doesn't make it so. I can say right now that I'm a psychic medium and tell you anything you want to hear and with my ability to cold read and use other techniques, can actually probably convince a few people of my authenticity, lol.

And yes, apparently it is impossible to have a conversation with anyone that is so one-sided. For intelligent dialogue to take place, you can't expect to make a claim and then get upset when asked for more information.

How wrong you are. Who made the rule that I need to prove anything to you let alone a spirit portal? And yes this is a conversation. If it's too hot then get out of the kitchen.

Actually many people want to believe water contains special .... things. There are many people who look at rapids in a river or boiling water or even water stirred with a spoon. Sadly these are the same ones who present insects as fairies and dust as spirits of lost loved ones. just search water itc. Look at those who take pictures and use pareidolia as proof. http://atransc.org/techniques/techniques_downey_itc.htm
Belief bias occurs when we make illogical conclusions in order to confirm our preexisting beliefs. Belief perseverance refers to our tendency to maintain a belief even after the evidence we used to form the belief is contradicted.

Laura Stamps, who was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, and Gisabel. Look them up online.

Let's start a line of Spirit Portal Jeans and Jackets! Woo! And back-yard furniture covers!!! Yeah! Do you think they'd port like... snow and moisture away, making the furniture last longer?

Yes, I'm being ridiculous... on purpose. Saying that flicking water at painter's canvas (or whatever canvas) creates a spirit portal is like saying if you make an inappropriate face, it'll stick that way.

Sounds more, to me, like the "talented" and "psychic" medium is very talented at making money.

Probably not. You don't believe you can, so why should you have the ability to do it?

You are wrong, but I do offer proof and verification with psychic readings on the spirit.

Are you an authority on spirit portals or psychic mediums? No, that's what I thought. Then it's your word against mine.
