What was this?
I am new here but I have been wondering about this my whole life..this happened to me when I was about 16 years old..I was raised in a 2 story 100 year old victorian...
One day while just resting(meditating) on my bed..I felt a thing I know I'm hearing the clip clop of horses hooves..I get up off the bed. Now I don't actually feel myself get off the bed, meaning I can;t feel my feet hit the floor.. I look out the window and all the cars are gone off the street and the sidewalk is gone..I look down the street and I see a horse and buggie come up the street!!!!
I then go downstairs and peek into the dining room. I notice that the buffet is gone and the chandelier is gone as well. In place of the buffet there is a this fireplace has been walled off forever!! I notice there is a gas lamp on the wall between the kitchen and one one the wall between the dining room on the living room.
The nest thing I know I am back on my bed and things are back to normal!!

What was this!! I am an average adult well-educated and certainly not know for delusion..I am just looking for some answers..I really don't who else to ask..
Study parasomnias, hypnopompic, and hypnogogic hallucinations. These can happen to ordinary people is varying stages of sleep.
Belief bias occurs when we make illogical conclusions in order to confirm our preexisting beliefs. Belief perseverance refers to our tendency to maintain a belief even after the evidence we used to form the belief is contradicted.
That's very may have experienced a "jump", in the sense that you astral-traveled back in time. But given the fact that you were lying down in a relaxed state you may have simply experienced a hypnogogic hallucination; they commonly happen when someone is falling asleep or waking up.
Past life regression memories.....
