What Famous Haunted Place Have You Visited?
#11
I've been to Alcatraz, Ione Hotel in Ione, California and the small town of Locke, California

No one has probably heard of the Ione Hotel or Locke, but both places are full of spirits.

In September 2006 I went with my son and a friend to the Ione Hotel in Ione, California. There, beneath the staircase of the old hotel, I felt a cold spot. It was located about 3 1/2 feet from the floor. The hair on the back of my hand stood on end as I held my hand on that spot. Then my entire body felt odd. My skin crawled and I felt cold all over. I told my friend to put his hand where I felt the cold area. He, too, felt it, but said it was probably from a draft somewhere. My son felt the cold spot also. We tried to rationalize what that might be causing that odd cold area and the strange feeling on the skin. My friend thought it might be some static electricity from a lamp that was nearby. There were no fans or air conditioning ducts there to cause a change in temperature. Then I noticed that the cold spot was moving. It was moving toward the door.
When I got home I did some research and found out that the Ione Hotel was haunted.

Locke is a small town on the Sacramento Delta. It is pretty much the same as it was when founded in 1915. I go there often and take pictures. I've got some pretty good anomalies on some of photos I've taken.

sounds very interesting!! Yes, cold spots can move for sure. The fun part is trying to keep up with it. They tend to move very quickly.
Something else about cold spots is, they can be different sizes. I have felt very small to as large as an animal. I actually had one in my living room years ago, that i walked in to. It was freezing as it started to move. I moved quickly to the kitchen with my arm out touching it. Then it was gone. I have never felt something so odd in my life. I feel that it could have been a cow or horse, that is possible. We found out that our house had been built on an old farm and where finding all sorts of very old metal parts on our property. I think they must have been from an old plow or tractor. It must be unusual to find such a huge cold spot as i havent heard anyone mention it before.....

I recently visited Hollywood Forever Cemetery on a weekend, its a very very peaceful place to be. I only managed to find Rudolph Valentino,Toto,Johnny Ramone and Cecil B Demile when i was there, i wasnt planning on stepping on or over anyone's graves to find the others.

Im planning a second visit there sometime after hearing about some jerk making fun of Virginia Rappe at her grave. (She was the one that Fatty Arbuckle got accused of killing with his weight.) Thought id go there and leave flowers on her grave.
Time to get funky.

I've visited Savannah, GA. There is a lot of history there, including Pirates and Slaves.

We even went on a haunted "hearse" tour. We had a blast. I took many pictures, and even got some cool photos.

I have friends that live there. You are right, lots of history.

I went to the Stanley hotel in Estes, Colorado. It was the hotel the shinning was written about. I stayed in a haunted room and heard very strange noises. My bf went to the bathroom and left the seat up. As he was leaving the bathroom the seat slammed down hard. He made us leave after that. Very cool experience though!

Being from Southern California, I have been able to visit the Whaley house in Old Town San Diego on several occasions. The workers there always told us about strange experiences they have had there. Unfortunately, my group and I never experienced anything that could be called paranormal. It is a beautiful house though. The tiny cemetery a couple of blocks down the street is worth a visit.
