Parasomnias Hallucinations Explained - UglyNRude - 10-27-2017 11:39 AM

As so many come here with experiences while in bed and look for paranormal answers \, thought the truth might help.

UnR, hypnagogia is a very real explanation for many sleep disturbances. However, there is a small percent of people that experience something paranormal while in this sleep state.
I only responded to this post to say that while the medical diagnosis of hypnagogia can put some people at ease that what they are experiencing is normal, there are situations and experiences in this sleep state that can not be explained by medicine or science.

I'm not looking for a retort from you and I do not want to argue but I figure you can offer one explannation and I will offer another.

Paranormal evidence --- hard to prove!

Did you drink coffee in the morning --- I want proof!

The Spirit asks another spirit --- is life in the physical body the truth or a lie ----?

We live in a time when we do not believe in anything and ask for everything "prove", but we do not do anything and we are smart.

First a response is not an argument its a discussion.
Study parasomnias, look at sleep studies where the brain is monitored. These studies show where the activities occur.
The cortex is responsible for the content of dreams, including the monsters we flee from, the feelings of out of body experiences, the people we meet, or the experience of flying. Since we are highly visual animals the visual cortex, right at the back of the brain, is especially active, but so are many other parts of the cortex.

Least active are some parts of the frontal lobes, and this may explain why we can be so uncritical during dreams, accepting the crazy events as though they are real – until we wake up. The problem occurs with those who fail to think critically when they are awake.
